Force Factor’s Citrulline Malate 2:1 is a plain, unflavoured powder. One active ingredient, printed on the panel, no proprietary blend.

What is in it

  • L-citrulline malate, 2:1 ratio
  • 3g per scoop, roughly 66 servings per tub (7.22 oz / 204.6 g)
  • Unflavoured. No added sugar, no artificial colours or flavours, no gelatin

What citrulline actually does

L-citrulline is an amino acid the body converts to L-arginine, which is the raw material for nitric oxide — the molecule that helps blood vessels relax and widen. It has been studied in randomised, placebo-controlled human trials, mostly around exercise performance and blood-flow markers. The effects are real but modest, and they show up over weeks of daily use rather than after a single scoop.

Much of the published research used 6–8g of citrulline malate per dose. This label lists 3g per scoop. Read the label and speak to your physician before deciding what is right for you.

Have a question?

What exactly am I buying?

An LED device emitting 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared light. Not a supplement, not a medical device, and not a treatment for any condition. Its specifications are printed on this page so you can compare them against anything else you are considering.

How long before I notice anything?

People who get something out of it usually say so after several weeks of consistent sessions, not after one. Use it ten to twenty minutes per area, three to five times a week, on bare skin. If you try it twice and stop, you have not given it a fair run.

Is it safe alongside my medication?

Some medications - certain antibiotics and retinoids among them - increase sensitivity to light. If you take any, or have a photosensitive condition, ask your physician before you start. Do not look directly at the LEDs. The same caution applies if you are pregnant.

How is this different from a cheaper one?

Often it is not, and we will say so. The things that genuinely differ are whether it runs near-infrared as well as red, how many emitters it has, and how much area it covers. Those numbers are on this page. Check them against whatever else you are looking at, including devices costing several times more.

What if I change my mind?

Unopened items can be returned within 30 days. Once a device has been opened and used we cannot resell it, so we cannot take it back - which is why we would rather you read the specifications before buying than after. Full terms are in our refund policy, linked in the footer.
